NEMESIS


He had rules and knew his way
   careful coz he had fears
He always knew how to ply life's waves
   guards his heart when love nears

Strong and tall he felt bold
   greedy_ he took and never shares
His smile was warm but felt cold
   needing those nightstand like cheers

But then she came and gave what he wanted
   for his heart to smile and cheeks glee
His bed was hers to share for as long as he wanted
   the pleasure was right_ even I agree

Somehow he forgot fears that had stayed his mind
   it must have been love but she called it lust
Couldn't see with his eyes coz his heart had gone blind
   too late his precious pebble fell on sands_ lost

I QUIT!

At some point I figured out that I shouldn’t care too much as to owe you any explanation for quitting and what I’m quitting but then I’ve come to the acceptance that there’s a lot to learn from anybody’s story no matter how insane it may seem or sound. This is not me saying, it’s me doing. I quit! Yeah. It’s no joke buddy. It’s been a long time coming. Trust me. To My Employer; I’ve held the notion that you are always on my neck. You see to it that I must resume work early and close late, that I must not get emotional/personal when I perceive that my rights are being transgressed by clients/customers just so I don’t turn them away to competitors. That everything must be in perfectly working condition as well as meeting or beating deadlines set by all means. The thought of doing all these ‘for you’ stresses me and most times bring thoughts of exiting from your organization. We've all got tales to tell. You know, it's a gift to be able to tell tales because #DeadMenTellNoTales. However, these tales are in the past and not to be resided in but referenced. Someone once said, 'you'll never amount to no good' (but then, God is the Best and He is my Creator). Another told me, 'you can't even rhyme well and you want to do music?' Love makes of man a worm that lurks in the shadows. Soon to be trampled, crushed or smitten. It is unsafe and walled by insecurity_ uncertain and grilled by fear. It is prey and left to the mercy or otherwise of a predator called time. Dim and deemed weak. It cannot fight nor even defend its existence. Those in whose hearts love thrive, live like hosts to recalcitrant viruses.
